Acne Cure
Teenagers and many adults alike face the issue of acne. In a previous article, four methods for acne treatment and acne prevention were discussed. Those methods are drinking plenty of water, eating fruits and vegetables, avoiding high-calorie foods, and avoiding hand-to-face contact. Here are four more acne cures.
1. Exercise regularly.
Acne is caused by your skin pores being clogged with oil and dirt so that bacteria can come in and infect your skin. Exercise helps to treat and prevent acne by getting your blood flowing so that oxygen gets delivered all over your body, including your skin. Blood also takes wastes away from your body, including excess oil that can help create acne. After exercising, be sure to wash your face, neck, and back (if you have acne there) thoroughly to get rid of excess oil and perspiration.
2. Wash your skin properly.
This means not only washing your face two to three times daily, but it also means washing your face by gently rotating your hands, lathered with facial cleanser, in a circular fashion. Don't scrub vigorously and don't use face cloths because they can irritate the skin. Skin irritation can cause more breakouts. Rinse well with warm water and gently pat your face dry with a clean, soft towel.
3. Reduce stress.
People often notice that they have more breakouts during times of stress, like studying for exams or worrying about upcoming events. Reducing stress can help reduce your acne. Stress causes your hormone production to increase. When hormones are stimulated, they can cause more oil production, resulting in acne. You can reduce your stress by listening to quiet music, taking a walk, or meditating.
4. Get plenty of sleep.
It's important to get at least 8 hours of restful sleep every night. When your sleep cycle gets disturbed, hormone production increases, stimulating the production of oil and increasing acne. So be sure to give your body the sleep it needs.
